Context

PULSE originates and develops in a specific and very competitive context in terms of funding, program initiatives and laws as well as players involved.

In synergy with the researches of the Department Architecture and Design – DAD focused for years on coastal landscapes and port cities and in line with the New European Bauhaus Initiative and the UN’s SDGs, PULSE will formulate a toolkit of design strategies, lexical categories and multi-level maps aimed at recognizing port clusters as a challenging field for architecture and urban design.

PULSE has received funding from the Italian Ministry of University and Research, as part of the implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NNRP) - Mission 4 “Education and Research” - Component 2 “From Research to Business” - Investment 1.2 “Funding projects presented by young researchers”, within the NextGenerationEU Recovery Package.

PULSE is winner of the Public Notice “Young Researchers” aimed to support the research activities of young individuals holding a “Seal of Excellence” following participation in Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships within the framework programs Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe.
