The 2nd Co-design & co-creation Event of PULSE, titled “Representing& Crossing the Port-Cluster Landscape: Workshops Maps (WsMs)”, is held at DAD - UniGe on  April 15th, 2024 in Webinar Live mode. 


INTERIM Event STRUCTURE 


WHAT
Second of three Co-design and Co-creation events planned for 2023 and 2024, "Representing& Crossing the Port-Cluster Landscape: Workshops Maps (WsMs)" is the international INTERIM PULSE seminar based on debate and exchanges between different disciplines and between academia and institutional bodies on the topic of extended port cluster territories. Specifically, the event aims to reflect on methodologies for the representation and visualisation of extended cluster landscapes, investigating new approaches to port mapping.

WHERE
The event is held in Webinar Live Mode; it will be broadcast from the University of Genoa (IT), Department Architecture and Design - DAD (Blue Room, 4th floor).

5 THEMATIC SECTIONS

01 | OPENING, PULSE RECAP & SoA
This section includes a brief intro and report on the state of the art and progress of the PULSE research project held by the Principal Investigator.

02 | PULSE KEY-NOTE LECTURES
This section includes two bey-note lectures by external international guests who are experts in the event's themes. The two INTERIM event key-note lectures will be given by Carola Hein (Full Professor of History of Architecture and Urban Planning, PortCityFutures, TU Delft) and Yvonne van Mil (Scientific Researcher Spatial History & Geospatial Mapping, PortCityFutures, TU Delft).

03 | PULSE NETWORK
The section illustrates the national and international collaborations established by the PULSE project and functional to its implementation.
The INTERIM event will be attended by the Italian Centre of Excellence on Logistics, Transport and Infrastructure - CIELI with the participation of Ilaria Delponte (Associate Professor in Urban Technique and Planning Deputy Director of CIELI) and Valentina Costa (PhD C., UniGe, CIELI).

04 | PULSE TALKS
The section includes the presentation of contributions selected through the PULSE Call for Contributions (CforC) "The Port-Cluster Landscape: New Words, New Maps, New Strategies" selected through a double blind peer-review process. Each presentation will be given by the author(s) in person for a maximum of 15 minutes and will serve to elaborate the theme, methodology and expected outcomes of the work already presented in the KICK-OFF Event (September 2023). 
The 13 contributions selected for the CforC will be presented in one session moderated by the PI. This section will be followed by a concluding debate with mebers from the Host Institution and mebers from the Scientific Advisory Board of PULSE.
